The original Cat Head was developed from a rare 1930s Duck Head work jacket, but rather than reproducing a known lined vintage example, TCB approached this version with a simple question: what would that jacket have looked like if it had been built with a blanket lining from the beginning?\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe outer fabric is one of the strongest parts of the jacket. TCB developed the denim by dissecting and studying an original vintage chore coat, then recreating its irregular character with four different yarns. The warp combines #8 straight yarn and #9 short slub yarn, while the weft mixes #12 irregular and neppy yarns. The indigo warp is rope dyed, while the weft is reaction dyed grey, giving the denim a slightly muted cast underneath the surface indigo and plenty of potential for vintage-style fading.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eInside, TCB adds a custom blanket lining with an original border pattern built around green with pale pink accents. Green corduroy is carried through the collar, cuffs and pocket flaps rather than being limited to the collar, tying the lining back into the exterior details.
