In 1940s America, jeans production focused on the materials used for World War II. Parts deemed wasteful were restricted, leading to a simplification of each component. Skilled seamstresses were employed to manufacture military uniforms, leaving jeans to be made by less experienced workers. Studio D'Artisan replicated the imperfect stitching and simplified details from this era, capturing the historical atmosphere with a faded, dull blue colour that resembles oxidation.
