This fabric
uses threads that use a special dye that originated in Niigata, which is called spec dyeing in some places.
This spec-dyeing
is characterized by the fact that it creates patches on the fiber and the color is mottled on the fiber like kasuri-zome.
Because this thread is made by hand, it is imprecise and creates a unique color gradation that
cannot be produced without the skill of a craftsman . In order to express the warmth of hand-stitched sashiko threads running vertically and horizontally, the directions and types are changed here and there, and they are shrunk to create complex irregularities on the surface of the fabric. The nut button that makes you feel warm is accented.
