Tanuki Zetto Straight Leg Jeans

Crafted from Zetto fabric, these denim jeans from Tanuki draw inspiration from a texture and dyeing process developed approximately 15 years ago. Today's rendition of the Zetto fabric represents a notable improvement over its original counterpart.

Manufactured on the original shuttle loom responsible for its inception, which remains the sole machine capable of producing it, this fabric boasts an exceptionally limited output. Texan cotton serves as the ideal underlayer for its irregular surface, characterized by its rough texture that gradually softens with wear, a quality shared by few other fibers. The yarns undergo rope-dyeing and are immersed in pure indigo six times at a slightly expedited pace, resulting in a subtly lighter blue tone that allows the weft to subtly emerge at the surface. Complemented by a yellowish ecru weft, the fabric exudes a charming vintage sepia hue and tactile feel.
