Private & Co.: Canada’s first Imogene + Willie stockist
Imogene + Willie began with the goal of making better-fitting jeans in America, and that commitment still guides the brand today. Founded by Carrie and Matt Eddmenson, the Nashville brand opened its flagship store in a converted gas station in 2009. The original Imogene + Willie jeans were designed as two complementary fits: Imogene for women and Willie for men.
Imogene + Willie garments are produced in small batches by a sewing team in Los Angeles. Many of the denim styles are made from 100% cotton and offered in rigid or lightly rinsed finishes, allowing the fabric to crease and develop character through regular wear. The collection includes the Willie straight fit and women’s Imogene styles in relaxed, high-rise, and straight-leg silhouettes.
Select pieces use Japanese selvedge from Nihon Menpu and Kuroki Mills woven on vintage shuttle looms for the distinctive texture and a finished selvedge edge. The fabrics are then cut and sewn in the USA. Other select materials come from the brand’s American supply chain, including denim from Mt. Vernon Mills, regenerative cotton from Martin Farms, and plant-based natural indigo from Stony Creek Colors.

FAQ
Where are Imogene + Willie jeans made?
Imogene + Willie jeans are patterned, cut, and sewn in the USA. While some fabrics are sourced from Japan, the finished garments are constructed in the United States.
What is Imogene + Willie known for?
Imogene + Willie is known for its American-made jeans, thoughtfully developed fits, small-batch approach to production, and fabrics selected to age with daily wear. The collection includes rigid denim, rinsed denim, Japanese selvedge, and everyday workwear fabrics. It is clothing designed to be lived in, not quickly replaced.
What is the difference between the Imogene + Willie fits?
Imogene was designed for women, while Willie was designed for men. Willie is generally associated with a straight-leg fit, while women’s styles vary by rise, leg shape, and fabric. Always compare the measurements for the specific style you are considering.
Do Imogene + Willie jeans run true to size?
Sizing depends on the fit and fabric. Some styles run true to size, but rigid jeans can feel firm initially and may give with wear while shrinking slightly after washing. We recommend measuring a pair of jeans you already own and comparing those measurements with the product size chart. If you are shopping online, contact us and we'll help find the right size.
