Return Policy

At Private & Co., we take pride in offering the finest Japanese denim and heritage brands. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Return Shipping Carriers

  • We cannot accept returns or exchanges sent through Canada Post while service to our location is unavailable.
  • This also applies to packages sent through another country's national postal carrier, such as USPS, that are handed off to Canada Post for final delivery in Canada.
  • Please use a private courier such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Purolator. Packages arriving by Canada Post may be refused and returned to sender at the customer's expense.

In-Store Purchases

  • Returns accepted within 7 days of purchase, for store credit or exchange only.
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached, with original receipt.
  • Final sale items cannot be returned.

Online Purchases

  • Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery, for store credit or exchange only (upon final inspection once received).
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached
  • Original packaging must be intact
  • Additional return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Returns and exchanges must be sent by private courier. We cannot accept packages delivered by Canada Post.
  • Once a return or exchange has been approved, the item must be received back at Private & Co. within 7 business days of the approval date. Returns or exchanges received after this period may be refused.

Non-Returnable Items

  • All sale items are "Final Sale"
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items without original tags
  • Items showing signs of wear or use
  • Undergarments and accessories
  • Exchanged items

Exchanges welcome within the return period. Items must meet the same conditions as returns. For online purchases, contact us first to arrange an exchange.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • Contact us within 24 hours if you receive a damaged or incorrect item
  • Include photos of the damage or incorrect item in your email and we will arrange for return shipping at our expense upon verification

Private & Co. reserves the right to refuse any returns that do not meet our policy requirements.

Denim Care Notice

Raw and selvage denim may have natural variations in color, texture, and finish. These characteristics are part of the unique nature of premium Japanese denim and are not considered defects. Please take this into consideration prior to purchase, and reach out to us for any care questions.
