A fabric-led piece from Studio D'Artisan, the FOX Cotton Baker pants [1917] are built around one of the most unique textiles in the heritage space; Fox Cotton, a naturally coloured cotton revived from ancient varieties dating back thousands of years.
The fabric is a 12oz herringbone twill, left completely undyed to showcase the cotton’s natural earth tone. Grown without pesticides or genetic modification, Fox Cotton highlights the raw character of the fibre itself, offering a softer hand and subtle texture that develops with wear.
The design draws from 1940s military baker pants, featuring a higher rise and a slightly wider, relaxed silhouette. Built to emphasize comfort and movement, the cut carries a straight leg with a fuller top block, true to vintage fatigue trousers.
Finished with traditional workwear details; fatigue pockets, buttoned back pockets, and durable hardware, the 1917 is less about flash and more about material and history. It’s a piece that wears in naturally, highlighting the inherent depth of the cotton rather than relying on dye or heavy processing.

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for store credit or exchange only. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
