The Big John M803E Classic Chino takes one of the brand’s long-running trouser designs and rebuilds it with a more contemporary fit while retaining the straightforward construction and durability of a traditional chino. Based on Big John’s longstanding F804 model, the M803E has been updated with a deeper rise and more comfortable regular straight silhouette, creating an easy everyday pant that sits somewhere between classic workwear and a cleaner trouser.

The pants are constructed from Big John’s original 7.5oz left-hand twill chino cloth. Woven at a high density from 100% U.S. cotton, the fabric has a dry, substantial hand while remaining light enough for comfortable wear across multiple seasons. The tight weave adds durability without making the trousers overly heavy or rigid.

Big John applies a cold mercerization treatment to the cotton, bringing out a subtle natural lustre and giving the fabric a slightly more refined appearance than conventional workwear chinos. The result is a pant that still feels rooted in traditional utility clothing but is clean enough to work with everything from a T-shirt and denim jacket to a tucked-in button-down.

The M803E uses a relaxed regular straight fit with a deeper rise than the original F804. There is comfortable room through the waist and upper leg before falling into a clean straight profile, making it an especially versatile alternative to denim.

The Black colourway gives the classic chino an understated, slightly sharper appearance. Big John adds one subtle point of contrast with a signature red front zipper, an otherwise hidden detail that distinguishes this version from the other M803E colours.
