Indigofera - Fargo 18oz Denim Trucker Jacket

The Indigofera Fargo Trucker is a full length workwear jacket built from a substantial 18oz Japanese selvedge denim woven by Shiroyama Mills.

Made from 100% cotton, the denim uses American grown cotton and an unusual construction where the white weft yarn is heavier than the indigo warp. Combined with a low tension weave, this creates a rough, uneven surface with plenty of visible texture rather than the cleaner appearance of a tightly woven modern denim.

At 18oz, this is a legitimately heavyweight denim jacket, but Indigofera rinses the finished garment before sale. The rinse addresses the initial shrinkage and takes some of the stiffness out of the fabric while leaving plenty of structure and break in ahead. The indigo will continue to fade and develop greater variation through regular wear.

The Fargo has been part of Indigofera's collection since the early years of the brand. The Trucker version adds two welted hand pockets to the Fargo's traditional two chest pockets, making it more practical as an everyday jacket while retaining the straightforward workwear construction of the original.

The body has a relaxed fit with enough room to layer over a shirt, flannel or knit. A contrasting corduroy collar adds texture at the neckline, while custom Indigofera brass snaps close the front, chest pockets and cuffs. Copper rivets reinforce key stress points.

The body remains unlined, allowing the character of the heavyweight denim to remain the focus and making the Fargo easier to layer across different seasons.
