Built around Samurai’s formidable 25oz Special Selvedge Denim, this limited model brings back a fabric that has become legendary among heavyweight denim enthusiasts for its extreme density, irregular texture, and dramatic aging potential.

Woven using specially developed slub yarns, the 25oz denim has an exceptionally thick, uneven surface with pronounced texture from the beginning. Fresh out of the box, the fabric is incredibly substantial and rigid, almost armour-like in feel. With continued wear, however, the denim gradually softens, moulds to the body, and develops increasingly pronounced creases and high-contrast fading. It is an uncompromising fabric designed for those who enjoy the process of breaking in truly heavyweight Japanese denim.

For this release, Samurai chose its S510XX regular straight fit, providing enough room through the leg to balance the extraordinary weight of the fabric while maintaining a classic straight silhouette. The result is a heavyweight jean that remains rooted in traditional five-pocket proportions rather than moving into an exaggerated oversized fit.

The special construction continues throughout the jeans. Samurai equips the S510XX25oz-SP with its distinctive gold Sunrise iron buttons, copper coin-style rivets, signature “Shogyō Mujō” pocket bags, special edition leather patch and flasher, and a unique version of the brand’s recognizable seagull back pocket stitching.
