A texture-driven piece from Studio D’Artisan, the 4619 Sashiko Jacket takes the brand’s fabric obsession and pushes it into full outerwear form, blending traditional Japanese textile techniques with classic American denim jacket design.

The fabric is an original 14oz selvedge sashiko, woven at high density to recreate the thick, uneven texture of traditional sashiko stitching. Both warp and weft yarns are indigo-dyed using the kasezome (skein dyeing) method, allowing the dye to penetrate deeply into the yarn for a richer, more dimensional tone.

Woven on old-style power looms, the fabric develops a raised, almost three-dimensional surface, giving it more depth and character than standard denim. The result is a jacket that feels substantial but still breathable, with a texture that continues to evolve as it wears.

The design is based on a Type II denim jacket, updated with a slightly more relaxed fit and added handwarmer pockets at the waist for everyday wearability.
