The Flat Head Horsehide Double Riders Jacket is a premium interpretation of the classic 1950s D-pocket motorcycle jacket, constructed from substantial Japanese horsehide and finished with the brand’s uncompromising attention to materials and detail. The jacket uses 1.3mm horsehide developed with Shinki Hikaku, one of Japan’s most respected horse leather tanneries. Fully vegetable tanned and finished using a semi-aniline process, the black leather retains its natural grain while allowing the brown core beneath the surface to gradually emerge through wear.

This teacore construction gives the jacket exceptional long-term aging potential. As the black finish creases and wears at high-contact areas, warm brown tones become increasingly visible, producing a highly individual patina. The horsehide begins with a firm, structured hand but gradually softens and forms to the wearer’s body.

The asymmetrical front closure creates a double layer of leather across the torso, improving wind resistance while reinforcing the jacket’s unmistakable double riders silhouette. A large zippered D-pocket provides one of the design’s most recognizable details, complemented by a smaller zippered chest pocket and an interior leather-trimmed pocket. Action pleats across the back improve movement through the shoulders and arms.

Finished with brass-toned Universal zippers, Flat Head steel side buckles, silver studded epaulettes and original snap hardware, the FN-LJ-HW004 balances rugged motorcycle functionality with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. A vivid red rayon kersey lining provides a smooth feel, durability and easy layering throughout the body and sleeves.
