The Flat Head FN-SNW-101LSP takes the brand’s signature block check flannel and combines it with classic Western shirt detailing and a special indigo rope-dyed fabric designed to change considerably with wear.

The 100% cotton flannel is woven in Japan on vintage shuttle looms using indigo rope-dyed yarn. The dyeing process leaves the core of the yarn relatively white, much like traditional rope-dyed denim. As the surface indigo gradually wears away, lighter shades of blue begin to emerge, bringing greater definition to the block check and creating increasingly pronounced fading and puckering throughout the shirt.

The interior is densely brushed, creating a soft surface that traps air and helps retain warmth. The Flat Head even maintains dedicated production equipment for this fabric because the indigo can transfer to the machinery during weaving and brushing.

Where this version separates itself from the FN-SNR-101LSP Work Shirt is its distinctly Western construction. Natural yellow mother-of-pearl snap buttons are left uncoated, allowing the natural variations and shifting tones of the shell to remain visible.
