Description
A heavyweight evolution of Flat Head’s Pioneer denim, the FN-8004 pushes both fabric and silhouette; built for texture, structure, and serious fade potential.
The denim is a dense 18oz selvedge, woven from 100% American cotton on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms, giving it a firm hand with pronounced irregularity. The right-hand twill construction and rope-dyed indigo yarns create Flat Head’s signature “doshaburi” vertical texture; a rain-like streaking effect that develops high-contrast fades as the fabric wears in.
The fit is a wide tapered silhouette with a higher rise and relaxed top block, tapering cleanly from the knee down. It carries that vintage wide-leg feel up top, but keeps things sharp through the leg opening. Easy to wear without going overly loose.
Finished in a rinsed (one-wash) state, the denim is pre-shrunk and ready to wear, while still retaining the stiffness and long-term character expected from a true heavyweight fabric.
