Big John’s MHTS09M Heavy Weight Tee takes a basic white T-shirt and puts the emphasis on fabric, weight and construction. Made from substantial 100% cotton jersey in Japan, the fabric has a firmer, drier hand than a conventional lightweight tee, giving the shirt enough structure to hold its shape while still becoming softer and more comfortable through repeated wear.

The body uses tubular construction, meaning the fabric is knitted as a continuous cylinder rather than being assembled from separate front and back panels. Removing the side seams creates a cleaner silhouette and a smoother feel around the torso, while also referencing the construction traditionally associated with older heavyweight basics.

In White, the substantial jersey becomes especially noticeable. The heavier fabric gives a simple white tee more presence and structure, making it strong enough to wear on its own rather than feeling purely like an undershirt. It works naturally with raw or faded denim, fatigues and work trousers, while remaining easy to layer underneath overshirts and jackets.

The regular fit keeps the MHTS09M straightforward and wearable rather than overly slim or oversized. Like a good pair of jeans, the appeal is partly in what happens after repeated use, as the initially firm cotton gradually relaxes and takes on a softer, more lived-in feel.

Fabric & Care: Made from 100% cotton heavyweight jersey with a dry, structured hand. The dense fabric will gradually soften and relax with repeated wear and washing while maintaining its substantial character. Wash cold with similar colours and hang dry. Avoid excessive heat and tumble drying to help preserve the fit and structure of the cotton jersey.

Fit: Cut in a regular silhouette with enough room for the heavyweight fabric to sit naturally without feeling oversized. The tubular body eliminates side seams and allows the shirt to fall cleanly through the torso.
