The Dehen 1920 Skyline Overshirt takes the familiar utility of a classic CPO shirt and rebuilds it around a roomier, more contemporary silhouette. Designed as a companion to Dehen’s longstanding Crissman Overshirt, the Skyline offers additional space through the body for layering while sitting slightly shorter through the length, creating a relaxed, boxier profile.

The standout is the fabric. Dehen uses a substantial 12oz Sashi-Ori woven in Japan from 100% cotton. The densely woven textile has a pronounced three-dimensional surface, giving the overshirt considerably more depth and texture than a conventional cotton shirt while retaining the durability expected from a workwear-inspired fabric.

For the Indigo version, the finished fabric is over-dyed to create a deep, saturated blue across the textured surface. The indigo is intentionally designed to crock, bleed, and fade, particularly during the early stages of wear. As the colour gradually wears away, the raised texture of the Sashi-Ori becomes increasingly pronounced, creating lighter tones and variation unique to how the garment is worn.

The Skyline keeps the construction straightforward and functional. Two oversized buttoned chest pockets dominate the front and reinforce the CPO influence, while a five-button placket with custom-dyed buttons keeps the overall design clean. Keyhole buttonholes and adjustable button cuffs add subtle traditional details throughout.

The overshirt is intentionally left unlined, making the 12oz fabric substantial enough to wear as a light jacket while remaining easy to layer beneath heavier outerwear. The slightly cropped body also helps distinguish it from a conventional shirt and makes it particularly easy to wear with higher-rise denim and trousers.
