Dehen 1920’s Wool Baseball Hat takes a familiar American six panel cap and builds it from the kind of substantial wool fabric normally reserved for outerwear. The body is constructed from Dehen’s signature 24oz Melton wool. Melton is a dense wool fabric traditionally used for hard wearing garments like naval coats, varsity jackets and cold weather outerwear. The fabric is tightly finished to create a smooth, compact surface that offers considerably more structure and substance than the cotton twill normally associated with a baseball cap.

That heavier wool gives the hat much of its character. Rather than collapsing like a lightweight summer cap, Dehen reinforces the crown to maintain its shape while still keeping the familiar proportions of a traditional baseball hat. Six panel construction shapes the crown, with sewn eyelets providing subtle ventilation without interrupting the clean appearance of the wool.
