Dehen 1920 - Crissman Overshirt Natural Sashi-Ori [OS001-NAS]

The Crissman Overshirt has become one of Dehen 1920’s signature pieces, sitting somewhere between a substantial shirt and lightweight jacket. This version is built from an undyed Sashi-Ori cotton that puts the focus squarely on the texture and construction of the fabric.

The 12oz Sashi-Ori is woven from 100% cotton and left in its natural, undyed state. Without dye covering the surface, the dimensional woven structure of the fabric is particularly visible, giving the overshirt plenty of character without relying on colour or pattern. Dehen chose the natural finish as a lighter counterpart to its indigo Sashi-Ori pieces, allowing the textile itself to become the defining feature.

The Crissman is designed as a true overshirt, substantial enough to wear as light outerwear while remaining easy to layer. Reinforced elbows add durability through high-wear areas, while two buttoned chest pockets and two welted hand pockets provide considerably more storage than a conventional shirt. An additional interior pocket sits at the lower left side.

Dehen keeps the hardware and finishing understated. Keyhole buttonholes are used throughout, with an antique brass snap securing the neck. Interior accents are lined in 100% cotton for a cleaner finish.

Like the rest of the Crissman program, the garment is cut and sewn in Dehen’s hometown of Portland, Oregon.
