FULLCOUNT’s 2978-2102 “Dartford” takes the brand’s classic Type II jacket and gives it the kind of wear that would normally take years to achieve. Built from FULLCOUNT’s 13.7oz Original Selvedge Denim using 100% Zimbabwe cotton, it keeps the familiar softness and easy break-in of the core 2102 while arriving with a heavily aged finish already worked into the fabric.

The Dartford treatment was inspired by the colour and character of a denim jacket worn by a young Mick Jagger in the early days of the Rolling Stones. FULLCOUNT recreates that worn-in appearance with a slightly yellowed cast, pronounced fading and abrasion concentrated around the seams, sleeves, pockets and other areas where a jacket would naturally show years of use. The effect is intentionally uneven rather than looking like a uniform factory wash.

Underneath that vintage processing is FULLCOUNT’s classic Type II construction. Twin flap chest pockets sit above the signature front action pleats, while buttoned side adjusters replace the rear cinch found on earlier Type I jackets. Copper rivets reinforce key stress points, and traditional selvedge detailing keeps the construction firmly rooted in 1950s denim workwear.

The 13.7oz Zimbabwe cotton denim is substantial without becoming overly heavy, making the Dartford easy to wear across most of the year. The wash has already softened the fabric considerably, but it will continue to settle and develop additional wear of its own, layering your fades and creases over the ageing FULLCOUNT has created at the factory.

Fabric & Care: Made from FULLCOUNT’s 13.7oz Original Selvedge Denim using 100% Zimbabwe cotton. The Dartford treatment creates the strong fading, softened indigo and slightly yellowed vintage appearance from the start. The jacket has already been extensively washed and processed, so significant additional shrinkage is not expected. Wash cold with similar colours when necessary and hang dry. Further fading and wear will continue to develop naturally over time.

Fit: Based on FULLCOUNT’s 2102 Type II silhouette with a boxy, vintage-inspired body and comfortable room through the chest and shoulders. The Dartford processing has already taken care of the major initial shrinkage. We recommend comparing our garment measurements with a jacket you already own before selecting your size.
