FULLCOUNT’s 2102W is the brand’s interpretation of the classic 1950s Type II denim jacket, built from the same 13.7oz Original Selvedge Denim used throughout its core jeans. Made from 100% Zimbabwe cotton, the fabric is known for a softer hand and natural elasticity that separates it from the stiffer, more rigid feel of many reproduction denims. It still has plenty of structure when new, but begins moulding to the wearer quickly.

The Type II design evolved from earlier cinch-back denim jackets, replacing the rear buckle with buttoned side adjusters while retaining the signature front pleats. FULLCOUNT keeps those defining details intact, including twin flap chest pockets, action pleats across the front and copper rivets reinforcing key stress points. The result stays close to its 1950s workwear roots without feeling overly costume-like.

FULLCOUNT’s 13.7oz denim is woven to retain the natural irregularity and texture of cotton rather than chasing an excessively heavy or exaggerated surface. The indigo will gradually lighten through the seams, sleeve creases, elbows and pocket edges, while the relatively moderate weight makes the jacket considerably easier to wear year-round than a heavyweight denim jacket.

This W version has received FULLCOUNT’s One Wash treatment, taking care of the major initial shrinkage before it reaches you. The cut has comfortable room through the armholes and body, making it easy to wear over a T-shirt or button-up while still working underneath heavier outerwear through winter.

Fabric & Care: Made from FULLCOUNT’s 13.7oz Original Selvedge Denim using 100% Zimbabwe cotton. The fabric has been One Wash, taking care of the majority of its initial shrinkage while retaining the texture and fading potential of the denim. Wash cold with similar dark colours when necessary and hang dry. Indigo transfer and gradual colour loss are expected and are part of how the jacket develops with wear.

Fit: Based on a classic 1950s Type II with moderate room through the body and armholes. The side adjustment straps allow the waist to be drawn in slightly, while the One Wash finish means sizing is already close to its intended post-wash dimensions. We recommend comparing our garment measurements with a jacket you already own before selecting your size.
