Imogene + Willie - Women's Catherine Indigo Rigid Denim Selvedge Jeans

The Catherine is one of Imogene + Willie’s most recognizable women’s fits, inspired by a beloved pair of 1950s five pocket jeans and built around a strong, high waisted silhouette.

This rigid version is cut from a substantial 13.5oz, 100% cotton indigo selvedge denim with visible nep throughout the fabric. That irregular texture gives the denim plenty of character from the beginning, while the rigid finish leaves the fabric ready to soften, relax and develop with wear.

The Catherine is built with a super high rise and a full trouser leg. There is room through the hip and thigh before the leg falls cleanly toward a generous opening, creating a silhouette that feels distinctly vintage without becoming costume-like. The proportions work particularly well with boots, loafers and other footwear where a fuller leg can fall naturally over the shoe.

Traditional five pocket construction keeps the jean rooted in classic denim, while a zipper fly makes the high rise easier to wear. Imogene + Willie ships the Catherine with a long inseam, leaving plenty of length to wear full, cuffed or hemmed to preference.

Imogene + Willie’s own long term wear testing shows the rigid denim relaxing through the waist and hips as it breaks in. The indigo develops with wear while the nep remains visible within the denim, creating additional texture as the jeans age.

Fabric & Care: This is a rigid denim designed to break in through wear. Imogene + Willie’s wear testing shows the fabric relaxing through the waist and hips while developing fading and character over time. As the denim evolves, the nep becomes somewhat less prominent while continuing to contribute texture to the fabric.

Fit: Imogene + Willie describes the Catherine Indigo Rigid Nep as true to size. Expect the jeans to begin comfortably snug through the waist and hips and relax as they break in. Take your normal size for the intended fit, but please refer to our size charts before placing your order.
