Inception - UK Saddle Basket Leather Silver Plated Brass Shackle Key Holder Black [IPSK-03].

Inception brings together traditional British leather and Japanese craftsmanship, building small leather goods and accessories designed to become better with use. The IPSK-03 takes that approach and applies it to a compact shackle key holder built from UK saddle leather and solid brass hardware.

The leather section is made from black UK saddle leather and finished with a hand stamped basket pattern. Wax penetrates deep into the fibres during the leather making process, giving the saddle leather its dense, substantial character along with added strength and water resistance. With use, the leather will gradually develop more lustre and depth of colour.

The hardware is equally considered. The oversized shackle is made from brass before receiving a heavy silver plated finish. Rather than using a standard thin plating, Inception applies a thicker silver coating to give the hardware a more substantial appearance and allow it to develop the darker patina associated with silver as it ages.

The shackle uses a threaded pin for easy access when attaching or removing keys. A small chain connects the pin directly to the body of the shackle, helping prevent it from being misplaced when opened. Two key rings are included, giving you room to organize multiple keys or attachments.

At approximately 11cm in overall length, it is substantial enough to clip around a belt loop or bag handle while remaining compact enough for everyday use.

Leather & Aging: The waxed UK saddle leather is designed to develop additional lustre and depth with regular use. The silver plated brass hardware will also change with handling and age, developing the darker character associated with silver while the brass construction provides a substantial base underneath.
