Indigofera - Buster Twill Grey Western Shirt

The Buster is Indigofera’s cleaner interpretation of the classic Western shirt, keeping the recognizable yoke, snap closures and twin chest pockets while moving away from traditional denim or heavy flannel. This version uses a soft Grey Lyocell and cotton twill that gives the familiar Western silhouette a lighter, more fluid character.

The fabric is a blend of Lyocell and cotton woven in a twill construction. Lyocell is known for its smooth hand and natural drape, which changes the way the Buster wears compared with a conventional all cotton Western shirt. The cotton adds structure and familiarity to the cloth, while the Lyocell keeps it soft and allows the fabric to fall more naturally through the body and sleeves.

Indigofera gives the fabric a soaked finish before the shirt reaches you. This removes some of the initial stiffness from the cloth and gives it a more comfortable hand from the beginning. Combined with the muted Grey colour, it makes the Buster considerably more understated than the heavily washed denim and patterned Western shirts that inspired its construction.

The Western influence remains clear in the details. A shaped front Western yoke gives the upper body its distinctive structure, while two chest pockets maintain the practical origins of the style. Diamond shaped snap fasteners replace conventional buttons through the front and reinforce the shirt’s Western character without adding unnecessary decoration.

The result is an easy everyday version of a Western shirt. The softer Lyocell and cotton cloth makes it comfortable enough to wear on its own, while the restrained Grey colour works easily with indigo denim, black denim, canvas and fatigue trousers. It retains the details that make a Western shirt recognizable while letting the fabric and straightforward construction do most of the work.
