Indigofera - Women's Audrey 14oz Double Knee Washed Jeans

The Audrey takes Indigofera’s established women’s Roslyn silhouette and pushes it further into traditional workwear territory. Built around a high rise and wide straight leg, it keeps the balanced proportions of the Roslyn while adding full double knee panels and reinforced construction inspired by classic work pants.

The denim is a substantial 14oz indigo broken twill woven from 100% cotton. Unlike conventional right hand or left hand twill denim, broken twill repeatedly changes the direction of its weave, creating the subtle zigzag pattern visible across the surface. Beyond its distinctive texture, this construction was historically developed to help reduce the leg twist that can develop as traditional twill denim is repeatedly worn and washed.

Indigofera gives the fabric a double washed finish before the jeans reach you. This takes away much of the initial stiffness and shrinkage associated with an unwashed 14oz denim while beginning to bring out variation in the indigo. The denim still has plenty of life left in it, and continued wear should soften the cloth further while creating fading around the knees, pockets, seams and other areas that see regular movement.

The workwear influence comes through most clearly in the full double knee construction. An additional layer of denim reinforces the front of each leg, with custom branded rivets securing the panels at key stress points. Four genuinely usable pockets add to the practical construction, while a button fly, custom metal hardware, flat-felled seams and cotton pocket bags keep the detailing in line with Indigofera’s heavier men’s denim.

Despite the workwear construction, the Audrey remains a women’s specific jean. The fitted high rise sits close through the waist before opening through the hip into a full straight leg that is neither overly narrow nor exaggeratedly wide. It is a substantial everyday jean with the durability of a double knee work pant, without losing the proportions that make the Roslyn such a strong women’s fit.

Fabric & Care: Made from 14oz 100% cotton indigo broken twill denim. The alternating direction of the broken twill weave creates a subtle zigzag texture while helping resist the leg twist associated with conventional denim twills. The jeans have already received a double wash, softening the fabric and taking care of the majority of the initial shrinkage. Wash cold when needed and hang dry to minimize additional shrinkage and encourage natural fading.

Fit: The Audrey is based on Indigofera’s Roslyn women’s fit, with a fitted high rise and a full straight leg. There is comfortable room through the hip and thigh before the leg falls straight toward the hem. Indigofera retailers describe the fit as true to size, but we recommend using our garment measurements and comparing them with a pair of jeans you already own before selecting your size.
