A standout piece from Indigofera’s ongoing collaboration with Swedish artist Björn Atldax, the “Safe Haven” blanket is part of the limited Skull Project series; where storytelling and symbolism take centre stage.
The design draws from historic pirate flag iconography, expanding beyond the usual skull and crossbones. Motifs like pierced hearts, horns, the Kraken, and hourglasses were traditionally used to intimidate; each symbol representing violence, fear, or the inevitability of time running out. This layered visual language is woven directly into the blanket, giving it a narrative depth that goes beyond decoration.
Crafted from 100% premium wool, the blanket is produced by skilled artisans in Norway at a mill with decades of history. The result is a dense, warm textile with a soft hand and long-term durability, equally suited for functional use or as a statement piece.
Generously sized at approximately 200cm x 150cm, it works across settings—draped over a sofa, layered on a bed, or even displayed as wall art. As with most Indigofera blanket releases, this is a limited edition, making it as collectible as it is practical.
