Description
A fabric-led piece from Pure Blue Japan, the 1170-2-ID pushes their signature texture even further. Built entirely around a double indigo sashiko weave that delivers depth, weight, and long-term character.
The fabric is a custom jacquard-woven sashiko, designed to replicate traditional hand-stitched patterns through the weave itself. In this version, both the base and the sashiko yarns are indigo-dyed (indigo x indigo), creating a deeper, more tonal look compared to contrast versions while still delivering strong visual texture.
This construction results in a raised, uneven surface that evolves with wear; fading slowly while the texture becomes more pronounced. The fabric is typically one-washed, removing shrinkage and softening the hand without losing structure.
The fit is PBJ’s Relaxed Tapered silhouette, offering a higher rise with room through the top block and thighs, tapering cleanly from the knee down. It’s one of their most versatile fits; comfortable up top, sharp through the leg.
Finished with classic PBJ detailing; custom hardware, leather patch, and the signature Pure Blue Japan leaf embroidery, this is a statement fabric in a very wearable shape.
