ROTOTO’s R5146 Indigo-dyed Mil Watch Cap takes its shape from vintage military watch caps and rebuilds it using techniques adapted from the brand’s sock production. The cotton yarn is densely knitted together with stretch yarn, creating a substantial fabric that feels structured while still conforming comfortably around the head.

The defining feature is the indigo-dyed cotton yarn, similar to the type used in denim. Rather than remaining completely uniform, the colour is intended to change through repeated wear and washing, allowing the surface to develop lighter areas and tonal variation over time. The Light Indigo colour begins with a softer, more washed blue appearance than the Dark Indigo version while retaining the same potential to continue ageing with use.

After knitting, ROTOTO garment washes and dries the finished cap to stabilize the fabric and help it retain its shape. The dense construction gives the R5146 enough substance for cooler weather without making it strictly a winter piece, with ROTOTO rating it three out of five in thickness and suitable for all-season wear.

The lighter indigo tone works especially well with darker raw denim, faded jeans, military trousers and neutral outerwear, giving the cap an already relaxed appearance from the beginning. Over time, the cotton should continue to soften while the indigo develops its own pattern of wear, making each cap increasingly individual.

Fabric & Care: Made from 91% cotton and 9% polyester using indigo-dyed cotton yarn. The indigo will gradually fade and may transfer colour to lighter garments or surfaces, particularly while new. ROTOTO recommends washing separately and avoiding tumble drying, as excessive heat may cause shrinkage. Natural variation in colour and texture is characteristic of the indigo-dyed construction.

Fit: One size with stretch yarn knitted throughout to provide a secure but comfortable fit. The folded cuff can be adjusted to alter the overall depth and create a more compact watch-cap silhouette.
