ROTOTO’s R1334 Loose Pile Crew Socks are built for anyone who likes a substantial sock but doesn’t necessarily want the tight feeling that often comes with heavier ribbed styles. Using a soft, stretchy low-gauge knit and a deliberately relaxed opening, ROTOTO has created a crew sock that sits comfortably around the leg while still providing plenty of cushioning underfoot.

The fabric is a blend of 44% cotton, 44% acrylic, 8% nylon, 3% polyester and 1% polyurethane. Cotton provides softness and familiarity against the skin, while the acrylic contributes to the plush character of the knit. Nylon, polyester and polyurethane are incorporated to provide additional durability, stretch and shape retention.

What really separates the R1334 is its loose construction. ROTOTO knits the fabric to gently follow the shape of the foot and specifically finishes the ribbed opening to reduce the feeling of tightness around the leg. For anyone who finds conventional heavyweight socks overly restrictive at the cuff, that small change makes a noticeable difference.

The ribbed section is also intentionally longer than a conventional crew sock. Wear it fully extended for additional coverage when the weather gets colder, or allow the ribbing to gather naturally around the ankle for a more relaxed look. That versatility gives the R1334 some of the character of an old outdoor or athletic sock without locking it into one particular way of wearing it.

Under the foot, ROTOTO uses a pile-knit construction to create a soft, fluffy surface. The additional loops of yarn provide cushioning between the foot and footwear, giving the sock its substantial feel and making it particularly comfortable for long days on your feet.

Despite the heavier appearance, ROTOTO rates the R1334 at a medium thickness. It is intended primarily for spring, autumn and winter, making it a useful everyday option once temperatures begin to drop without moving into the territory of an especially bulky winter sock.

The White colour keeps the design particularly simple and highlights the texture of the low-gauge knit. It works naturally with indigo denim, fatigues, chinos, sweatpants and shorts, while the longer ribbed section gives you some flexibility in how much of the sock you want visible.

Fabric & Care: Made from 44% cotton, 44% acrylic, 8% nylon, 3% polyester and 1% polyurethane. The sole uses a fluffy pile-knit construction for additional cushioning. ROTOTO notes that the surface of this particular sock is relatively sensitive to abrasion and may wear more quickly when repeatedly worn with leather shoes. Avoid tumble drying, as heat may cause shrinkage.

Fit: Available in Small, Medium and Large. Small fits approximately 23–25cm, Medium 25–27cm and Large 27–29cm. The stretchy construction gently follows the foot, while the ribbed opening is intentionally finished with a more relaxed tension to reduce tightness around the leg.
