ROTOTO’s R1617 Oldschool Work Boot Socks combine the practical construction of traditional cold weather work socks with the striped look of vintage athletic tube socks. Designed specifically with boots in mind, the stripe is positioned slightly higher on the leg so it remains visible above the top of the footwear rather than disappearing inside the shaft.

The substantial wool and acrylic blend provides warmth while maintaining enough durability and stretch for regular wear. Underfoot, ROTOTO uses a cushioned pile knit that creates a softer layer between the foot and the inside of the boot, helping reduce fatigue during longer periods of standing or walking.

The Black colourway gives the R1617 its most understated appearance, keeping the vintage work sock construction easy to pair with nearly anything. It works especially well with indigo denim, black denim, fatigues and substantial leather footwear, while the contrasting stripe adds enough detail to keep the design from feeling overly plain.

Rated four out of five on ROTOTO’s thickness scale, the R1617 is built primarily for autumn and winter. It is noticeably more substantial than an everyday crew sock, combining warmth, cushioning and durability in a format designed specifically for heavier footwear.

Fabric & Care: Made from 40% wool, 40% acrylic, 15% nylon, 3% polyester and 2% polyurethane. The wool blend provides warmth while the pile knit sole adds cushioning for extended wear inside heavier footwear. Wash gently and avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat may cause shrinkage.

Fit: Available at Private & Co. in Medium and Large only. Medium fits approximately 25–27cm and Large fits approximately 27–29cm. The stretch within the knit allows the sock to conform comfortably around the foot and lower leg while maintaining its substantial boot sock construction.
