The Samurai Jeans SM810DX-HC takes traditional hickory workwear fabric and pushes it firmly into heavyweight denim territory. Built from substantial 17oz Japanese denim, the pants combine the rugged character of Samurai’s Zero+ denim with 17oz hickory denim, creating a fabric with a firm hand, pronounced texture, and exceptional potential to develop character through years of wear.

At 17oz, this is considerably heavier than the hickory cloth traditionally associated with railroad and workwear garments. Samurai developed the fabric to retain that unmistakable striped appearance while delivering the substantial feel and aging characteristics expected from its heavyweight denim. The textured surface will gradually soften and become increasingly personal with wear, revealing greater contrast and character throughout the fabric.

The silhouette is equally distinctive. Rather than building a traditional work pant loaded with utility pockets, Samurai strips the design back for a cleaner appearance. The SM810DX-HC features a deep rise designed to sit higher on the waist, with a wide leg that opens slightly toward the hem to create a generous wide straight silhouette. Traditional side utility pockets and hammer loops have intentionally been omitted, allowing the fabric and proportions to become the focus.

Construction remains unmistakably Samurai. Heavy-duty triple-stitched flat-felled seams reinforce the workwear influence and provide additional durability, while black-coated iron tire buttons add a subtle industrial detail. A sewn-in waistband label completes the design.
