Description
A fabric-first piece from Studio D’Artisan, the FOX Cotton Chore Coat [4638] is built around one of the most unique textiles in the heritage space; Fox Cotton, a naturally coloured, organically grown cotton that eliminates the need for dyeing.
The fabric is a 12oz herringbone twill, woven from 100% organic Foxfibre® cotton, showcasing its natural brown tone straight from the plant. Developed and revived by Sally Fox, this cotton traces back thousands of years and is grown without chemicals or genetic modification, giving the fabric a raw, earthy character with a softer, breathable feel.
The design pulls from 1940s military coverall jackets, featuring a boxy, workwear silhouette with a straightforward three-pocket layout. It’s simple, functional, and built around ease of movement; true to vintage chore coat roots.
Left undyed and one-washed, the jacket highlights the natural texture and tone of the cotton, allowing it to wear in subtly over time rather than relying on heavy fades.
