The Flat Head’s FN-HTKL-001 pushes heavyweight jersey into sweatshirt territory while keeping the clean construction of a long sleeve tee. Knitted from an exceptional 20oz 100% cotton jersey, it is the heaviest T-shirt fabric The Flat Head has produced. The fabric is made on traditional loop-wheel machinery and knitted extremely densely, creating a shirt with serious weight, structure and durability.

The air-spun cotton yarn is a big part of how the fabric feels. Its outer surface is firmer and drier, while the centre remains softer and loftier, giving the shirt a substantial hand without feeling flat or lifeless. With wear and washing, the dense knit gradually relaxes and becomes more comfortable while retaining the body that makes the 20oz fabric so distinctive.

The body is knitted in the round using tubular construction, eliminating side seams and allowing the fabric to sit cleanly through the torso. At the neckline, The Flat Head uses its signature three-needle, one-off stitching with No.20 cotton thread, reinforcing one of the highest-stress areas of the garment while adding one of the brand’s most recognizable construction details.

In Black, the heavy jersey gives the shirt an especially clean, almost sweatshirt-like presence without the bulk of fleece. It works well as a standalone layer with denim and work trousers or underneath a jacket through colder weather. The One Wash finish removes the initial shrinkage while leaving the fabric plenty of room to soften and develop with wear.

Fabric & Care: Made from 100% cotton knitted into an exceptionally dense 20oz loop-wheel jersey. The air-spun yarn gives the surface a dry, structured character while retaining softness through the centre of the yarn. The garment has been One Wash, so only minimal additional shrinkage should be expected with proper care. Wash cold with similar colours and hang dry. Avoid excessive heat and tumble drying.

Fit: Cut with a substantial, vintage-inspired shape and a somewhat shorter body than many modern long sleeve tees. The dense 20oz fabric holds its silhouette rather than draping closely against the body. We recommend using our garment measurements rather than relying solely on standard letter sizing.
