Indigofera’s Loa Bandana continues the brand’s long-running collaboration with Swedish artist Björn Atldax, turning his highly detailed artwork into a lightweight piece of wearable textile art. The composition is built around four oversized skulls surrounded by owls, talons, tadpoles, celestial forms and astrological symbols, arranged with the strange symmetry that has become a signature of Atldax’s work for Indigofera.

The artwork is screen printed onto 100% Japanese cotton voile, a fine, lightweight fabric with a softer and airier feel than a traditional heavyweight cotton bandana. The finer weave allows the illustration to remain crisp while giving the piece an easy drape that works naturally around the neck, head or wrist.

The Pink/Brown/Turquoise colourway gives the darker imagery a completely different character. The pink ground brings out the warm brown and turquoise details, making the artwork feel brighter and more playful without losing the slightly macabre edge of the original illustration. It pairs particularly well with indigo denim, faded black, olive and neutral workwear.

A rinsed finish softens the fabric from the start, while the approximately 56 × 52 cm size gives it enough coverage to function as a proper neckerchief or head covering without becoming bulky. It can also be folded into a pocket, tied around a bag or simply appreciated as a small-format textile artwork.

Fabric & Care: Made from 100% Japanese cotton voile with a rinsed finish. The fine weave keeps the fabric lightweight and comfortable while allowing the detailed screen print to remain crisp. Wash gently in cold water with similar colours and hang dry. Avoid bleach, harsh detergents and excessive heat to help preserve the artwork and fabric.

Fit: Measures approximately 56 × 52 cm, giving enough coverage to wear as a traditional bandana or neckerchief while remaining compact enough to fold into a pocket, tie around a bag or wear at the wrist.
