The Roslyn is Indigofera’s women’s high rise straight jean, built around the proportions of vintage women’s denim rather than simply scaling down one of the brand’s men’s fits. This version pairs that silhouette with Indigofera’s 14oz Vintage 70’s selvedge denim, giving the jeans the texture and character of older denim with a shape specifically developed around the waist and hips.

The fabric is a 14oz Japanese selvedge denim woven from 100% cotton. Indigofera’s Vintage 70’s denim is intentionally less uniform than a clean modern denim, with an uneven, slightly hairy surface that recalls the character found in jeans from the late 1960s and 1970s. Leaving more of that natural texture visible gives the fabric depth even before significant fading begins.

The jeans have been rinsed before reaching you, taking away the rigid feel of completely raw denim and settling the fabric before wear. The indigo remains dark and has plenty of ageing left ahead of it. With regular wear, creases will begin developing through the lap, knees and back of the legs while pocket edges and seams gradually become more pronounced.

Fit is where the Roslyn separates itself from Indigofera’s other five pocket jeans. It sits high at the natural waist before opening through the hips and seat, creating a more comfortable top block without losing definition at the waist. From there, the leg falls into a full, straight silhouette with enough room to let the heavier denim hang naturally.

Traditional five pocket construction keeps the rest of the jean straightforward and lets the fabric and fit do most of the work. The combination of a true high rise, fuller straight leg and textured Japanese selvedge makes the Roslyn a strong option for anyone looking for women’s raw denim proportions without moving into a narrow or heavily tapered silhouette.

Fabric & Shrinkage: Made from 14oz 100% cotton Japanese Vintage 70’s selvedge denim. The fabric has already been rinsed, taking care of its initial wet treatment and removing some of the stiffness associated with completely raw denim. Some movement can still occur with repeated washing. Wash cold when necessary and hang dry to minimize additional shrinkage and encourage natural indigo fading.

Fit: The Roslyn is Indigofera’s women’s high rise straight fit. It sits high at the natural waist with a more shaped waist and additional room through the hips and seat before falling into a full straight leg. The proportions give the denim room to drape naturally without becoming excessively wide.
